Biography

(3rd gen?!)

He loves books and (even more especially) scrolls, treating them with an almost sacred reverence. He likes youngsters well enough most of the time but more often than not is absolutely horrified by their lackadaisical treatment of their learning materials. The smarter and quieter youngsters have learned that Raisonne can always be counted on to relate a good yarn, though, from all the reading he has done, and can be a great (if sometimes long-winded) help on homework and other knowledge searches as well. Travelers have often told him he should have been born to the Light--or Arcane. His excellent memory (for histories and tomes, if not for more contemporary faces and names) and continual thirsty search for knowledge and stories has him regarded as a key keeper of Athazan history and lore especially. He's not a particularly brilliant caster of spells, but is solid on the basics and unsurpassed in his recitation of foundational magical theory.

Though he hasn't ventured very far from the Athazan caverns himself since his arrival, he has been known to encourage adventurous youngsters to venture as far and dare as much as is needed to pursue their own quests, however childish or bizarre others may see them as. Many of the parent dragons of Athaza do not appreciate his wise-wizardly-mentor talents in this regard.

While generally thought of as a mild-mannered sort, his eyes alight with enthusiasm and he sometimes spins himself up into enthusiastic dramatic reenactments when he talks about historical figures both famous and obscure. He loves historical artifacts almost as much as his precious bound and scrolled papers and helps maintain something of a mini-museum higher up in the stone halls of Athaza, where carelessly bumptious youngsters can't easily get at them.
