Biography
Aamyth, known as Gerald to his adoptive clan and Strayed-Shadow to his birth clan, is a quiet, elusive dragon who is rarely seen above ground by day. Sent as part of a cultural exchange with the allied Persisting Shadow clan, Gerald began to show signs of gembond shortly after arriving in Plague lands as a hatchling. Of all the dragons of the Pink Pestilence so afflicted, Gerald is most heavily marked and his gem eructations limit his mobility. However, he refuses to cure himself, believing the Plaguebringer burdened him so for a reason.
Aware of his legacy as the son of the warrior Stormbird Shadow-of-Flame, Gerald often accompanies gladiator teams to the coliseum. They are usually happy to have him along; slow-moving and brightly colored, Gerald is perfect monster bait. While he's getting slapped unconscious by ghostly turkeys, his teammates can close in for the kill at little risk to themselves, and without a twinge of guilt. After all, he volunteered.
