Biography
Bia is a strong and extraordinarily courageous. She can be fierce when she needs to be, but does have a soft spot for younger dragons. They remind her of her sister. She is an introvert, content to spend time alone or in the company of only Nike. She enjoys the cool calm that concentrating on a fight brings her.
She has faced a lot of trouble throughout her life, but has carved herself a nice place in Elderkin’s clan. Her past weighs heavy on her, but she carries it with a grace. She has trust issues and tends to avoid letting people in. Her sister is the only one she’s close to.
Bia’s fondest memory is seeing her sister hatch.
Just days after she hatched, Bia and an egg were abducted from their clan. The two were transported to a stronghold in the middle of nowhere, where they were left with many other young dragons in despicable conditions.
Already memories of her parent’s warm presence were beginning to fade. All she knew was the damp, dark walls of the cave where she and the other… merchandise were stored. Nike’s egg was her last connection to a world where everything wasn’t upside down.
When the swirled egg began to crack, Bia was alarmed. This was her last connection to her parents - the last good thing in her life. What if her new sibling hated her? What if they weren’t sold together? What if, what if, what if.
Bia’s alarm quickly gave way to love. The little spiral emerged from her egg with a grin plastered across her face. She looked at Bia like she was her entire world. Bia supposed she was.
The sisters forged a unbreakable bond. They were incredibly devoted to one another and spent every waking moment next to one another. Their matching wings and underbellies were a source of pride for the sisters. They were related, and it was obvious.
Still, Bia was plagued with worry that one day she and Nike would be separated. The dragons who kidnapped them had little sympathy for family. She’d seen countless brothers and sisters ripped from one another, with no hope of ever seeing their siblings again. She wasn’t going to let that happen to her and Nike.
Bia distrusted Elderkin on sight. He’d slunk into the dark cavern late one night and spoke in a deep rumble with her kidnappers. Still, when she heard he was looking for warriors, plural, she knew it was her chance to find a home for both herself and Nike.
Bia was an unexperienced fighter. Still her size was imposing and she could look fierce when she needed to. Nike was a different story. It took some convincing to persuade Elderkin that Nike could hold her own. Well, some convincing lies, that is.
In the beginning Bia had to help Nike a lot. Soon, though, the sisters developed complementary styles of fighting. Bia took a more defensive, strength based approach. Her focus was initially on protecting Nike, but as the sisters grew, her attentions shifted to just getting stronger and keeping up with Nike’s deadly force.
Together the two rose the ranks in the clan till they were they outranked even Elderkin in a fight.
Bia revels in the fact that she and her sister no longer run the risk of being separated. She and Nike help raise young fighters now. They bring back countless spoils as well a dragons with newfound talents for fighting.
Bia enjoys her position in Elderkin’s clan, and as long as Nike remains by her side, she’s content to remain.
