It's funny how one who grew up in a life so chaotic and filled with liars could one day become the keeper of peace and the seeker of the truth.

Graceful was a young hatchling growing up in The Sunbeam Ruins when her clan began to run scarce on food and resources. There was hardly enough prey to last anyone, even during the Brightshine Jubilee, when the Lightweaver was supposed to bless the land with plentiful harvest and wild prey. Her clan was simply always too late to get to the food sources, and they all suffered because of this.

In fact, some dragons got starved so badly, they had all begun to go mad. One awful winter, Graceful's own clanmates had become so deranged that they started to think she was some sort of fortuneteller or witch. They claimed she could see into the future with the pearl she held so dear, and that she knew something that they did not.

They were driven so crazy that they handed her over to a pack of rouge dragons from the Fire Flight in exchange for food and treasure. They told them that she would be useful to them as a dragon above all, that could see past time and connect with the Flamecaller above.

But she wasn't.

She never was.

Stuck within her new clan, forced to play the role of some higher power and create false prophets and fortunes, she began to think that there would be no escape for her. That is, until Avarice was captured. She quickly devised a plan to convince the rouges that she had to go to a far away place with Avarice in order to perform a ritual to please their deity, but really, she was making a plan for escape.

"Bring me the intruder," she demanded, and they did as she told, dropping young Avarice to the ground in front of her.

She looked at him for a minute before announcing to the group that she shall be the one who sacrifice him, and that the mighty Flamecaller themself had told her to bring him into The Shifting Expanse to do so. Once the clan had all agreed, she commanded the Imp to follow her. She kept up her act until they were out of sight of the clan, out of sight of their leader, out of sight . .

And then she broke into a sprint.

She ran and ran as fast as she could, still commanding Avarice to follow behind. She explained as she went, that they would get far, far away from the evil in this world, and escape to somewhere where they can both be safe.

And so without a second thought, they began their journey. Through The Shifting Expanse. Through Sunbeam Ruins, where Graceful had explained she had been kidnapped from. On and on they trekked, and almost a year later, they arrived at the Starfall Isles.

Graceful had explained to Avarice that she just knew deep down in her heart that they would be safe here - and she was correct. One night, they were found by Kamala as they wandered through the Starwood Strand. They were eagerly accepted into the clan and their full potential was finally seen by Spellbound Clan leader Artie, who assigned them the roles of Peacekeeper and Hunting Administrator respectively.
