Madrigal

Hidden companion, phantom be still in my heart

Madrigal's fate intertwined with the dragons of Clan Morningstar (which were just Regalia and Pernicious at the time) when the slave caravan she then belonged to took refuge near the Sundial Terrace. Madrigal (around mid-teenage years at this point) stopped in Pernicious's fortune-telling tent to get her fortune told for what she referred to as "an important night". Her cards did not show a good future if she continued down her current path. Pernicious sensed both that she was no random wanderer and that she had great magical potential, so he tried to get more information from her.

He learned that Madrigal had somehow been separated from her mother and captured by slavers. She lived this way for as long as she could remember, and Madrigal could remember the name but not the location of her former clan. Her only comfort was her friend, Zephyr, whom she mentioned had stuck with her since she first arrived. As Madrigal prepared to leave, Regalia, only a few moons older than Madrigal, burst into the tent while dragging a guilty Zephyr into the tent. Regalia caught him snooping around their excuse for an armory and, when given a chance to explain himself, Zephyr said that he planned to escape the slavers with Madrigal that night.

Instead of letting the young Skydancers get themselves killed, Regalia surprisingly declared that she liked the their bravery and would protect them. No slaver dared to question Regalia's honesty when a few scouts searched the ruins and found no one but a peaceful Tundra and an irate Guardian. After the caravan left the area, it was decided that the Skydancers would become the third and fourth inhabitants of the Alexandrian Ruins. Here, with the tutelage of Pernicious and the friendship of Regalia, Madrigal could grow up in peace with the means of furthering her magical powers.

Madrigal is happily mated to her longtime friend, Zephyr. They have a daughter, Goldenflower, and a son, Noxus (who currently resides with possiblytroodon's clan).
