~ Flashback
"I think I know which one will be the cleverest of them all." Someone grabbed Jadestar by the neck and plonked her down, hard, onto the rocky earth. "And why do you say that, hmmm?" A second voice floated through the air to Jadestar's ears. "Look at her bright green eyes. They shine with the intensity of thought. She is clearly a superbly gifted baby." The first voice continued. "Very well." The second voice answered hesitantly, as if afraid of her. "Enjoy your night, girl, tonight is your last night here…"

Jadestar wandered the plateau, awestruck by the sweet smelling flowers. Her mind felt woozy yet she was too amazed to simply flop down and rest. She hardly noticed it when she began staggering, truly worn out by the whole episode and escapade, laughing as though she was the happiest lady dragon in the world. "Do you need help?" Out of the blue, a voice rang out, clearly and loudly as a bronze bell. Jadestar turned, to find a yellowish-maize Imperial Male staring curiously at her. Immediately, the other Imperial ran to her side. "Steady. You look worn out. I'll take you back to my clan." Together, they disappeared into the woods.

Jadestar has healed in Starblaze Clan, and has come to call it home. After climbing the ranks with her saviour and mate, Twilightstar, she has finally reached the top. In that cool, calm nature of hers, though, is a terrified heart, perpetually afraid of other dragons of the Clan finding her out for the scared, suffering hatchling she once was.
