Rosetti: Scoundrel

Rosetti is a charming rogue whose travels have left a trail of stolen hearts (of all genders) and stolen property behind. She has been chased out of several clan territories by clan guards, Guardians, and overprotective parents alike. Her Mirror heritage has left her with especially long, rather floppy, ears, a truly stunning set of teeth, and a fiercer demeanor than most Tundras. An occasional sellsword, an occasional thief, and a constant soldier of fortune, Rosetti let the wind blow her where it would in a decidedly un-Earth dragon fashion. Whoever could afford her services could buy them, although she did pick and choose according to her loose but still present moral sensibilities. A self-described "bit of a rapscallion" and a scofflaw, and a romantic, and a rake, she's never done an honest day's work in her life or anything truly reprehensible, at least not that anyone can prove. Rosetti's abiding weakness is her inability to resist a forbidden fruit, whether it be some coveted valuable, or lovely dragon, and she's happily gotten herself into a number of troubles pursuing them. However, behind her flippant and showy demeanor, Rosetti is surprisingly worldly, and a formidable fighter, and her silk scarves and flair for poetics are as much a smokescreen as an affectation. Those who underestimate her by them are lucky if her unnervingly sharp grin isn't the last thing they see. Rosetti's success as a sellsword gained her a certain reputation, one that gained her both allies and enemies. She leads a small mercenary band she affectionately refers to as her Scoundrels, and keeps her nose to the wind for the scent of prosperous jobs and ripe pickings for them take. They came to the Aureate Citadel following whispers of adventure, unknown tunnels to be explored, and hidden treasures to be found, although she finds Byzantium's strict rule, and stricter punishments for thieves, too chafing to make her home there permanently. Much of their time there is spent exploring the labyrinth of unmapped tunnels there, discovering new chambers and expanding Byzantium's rule, collecting his gold for their efforts. Rosetti still manages to sneak out the odd treasure or artifact just to keep her paw in. Rosetti's travels also sometimes bring her to Clan Lodestar, and into a direct clash with the gallant and high minded Vanilla. The two of them have a very intense rivalry, one Rosetti winkingly describes as "darkly romantic" that often necessitates her to hastily take a job far away, usually with ill-gotten goods in tow, so Vanilla can cool down. |
