Biography

Elysia's avatar
ELYSIA
Member of the Ice Embassy

Originally from a predominantly coatl Nature clan, Elysia hatched with scale colorations that were seen as an ill omen to the dragons around her. She grew up shunned and isolated until she was old enough to fend for herself, then the clan promptly exiled her.

Her travels took her all over Sornieth. She seldom stayed with one clan long enough to get comfortable. Elysia was frequently chased away by other coatls or had internalized enough of the shame cast upon her that she could never truly feel at ease around those who did seem to accept her.

It wasn't until her travels took her to the Southern Icefields that her perspective began to shift. There she met Albion, a coatl whose scales and plumage were even more extreme than her own. His clan seemed to laud and value him, viewing his icy coat as a sign of favor from the Icewarden himself. It was a gift that allowed Albion greater concealment in the snowy wastes that made up his clan's home. What Elysia had originally taken to be a curse, was viewed by this clan as a blessing.

Elysia grew closer to Albion until they eventually became inseparable, a pair mated for life. So of course, when Albion was chosen to be an ambassador to a Water Flight clan, Elysia accompanied him. While she offers her mate advice and counsel, she seems wary of the other coatls that live in Marlinspike Cove. Fearing they'll lack the same insight as the dragons of her adopted homeland to the south.
