Born in the Plague region, Shiraz departed from her birth clan upon realizing most brews one could make in the Plague region were not... particularly healthy or enjoyable. She had grown up admiring celebrations and festivities, and the drinks that seemed to ease said situations. Hence, when she started to learn how to make wines and festival-related drinks, she had to move to more "fertile" regions regarding ingredients.

Thankfully, she thought, at least drinking-horns were easy to make. (Even if the drinks themselves weren't as nearly available in regards to materials.) Moving from Plague to Earth was not too difficult for her, even at a young age, for if there was one thing she learned from her Plague-birth, it was how to survive in harsh regions. Earth's territories could be very arid and dry after all. She took a Carmine Serthis she befriended at her home-clan with her, and the Serthis was also quite fine with the survivalist attitude Shiraz took to the Earth region. Said Serthis was also quite close to Shiraz, and the two commonly clung with one another when encountering new events.
When she arrived in the Earth area known as Greatwyrm's Breach, she introduced herself to the first clan she encountered, and asked if she might stay awhile. Shiraz offered as payment for living space a share in the drinks she would craft, to which the clan heartily agreed to have her. She also would help in Foraging expeditions, as she would find the berries and other food materials easily that she would then make into the various drinks she desired to craft. Her Carmine Serthis companion liked to aid in such excursions, as long as she could also partake in the Nocturne's drinks.

Although she never mentions it to anyone, Shiraz sometimes keeps treasure that she finds during gathering expeditions. She often hides it in drinking horns or under a pillow until she can find a suitable place.
