Clan Role: Soothsayer

During her Search, Ymori came across a wizened old Pearlcatcher from the Water flight, who was well practiced in the arts of soothsaying. She was an elderly dragon, but Ymori felt certain that this was her destined Charge--no matter how long she was for this world. She traveled with the Pearlcatcher, protecting her and eventually coming to assist her in her fortellings. Seeing talent in the young Guardian, the Pearlcatcher claimed her as her apprentice and shaped her into being her successor.

As the years passed, the Pearlcatcher's health declined. This worried Ymori to no ends, having no way to protect her Charge from the passing of time. In the end, she helplessly watched the Pearlcatcher fade from this existence. As the dragon released her final breath, Ymori waited for the feeling of emptiness--of the void left behind by her kin's divine mission.

Yet the tug yet remained.

Her charge had not left this world. Looking down, she realized that the Pearlcatcher hadn't been her Charge. All this time, it had been the pearl.

The Pearl was her Charge.

Though she mourned the passing of her dear friend, Ymori was filled with renewed hope. Honoring both her friend's memory and the duty of her kin, Ymori continued her travels with the pearl in hand. The opalescent orb serves as her medium to tell fortunes and prophecies. Her experiences have left her wise, patient, and long-suffering.

She might come off as a little gruff, but don't be fooled. Deep down, she has a soft heart.
