A bunch of hopeless nomads, was Roost's first thought, when making the acquaintance of this clan. The leader hopelessly young, though fierce - and fierceness, Roost can appreciate. Fierceness, he can even (grudgingly) respect.
What made him stay? Excellent question. Roost wouldn't answer, partly because he still feels above answering that sort of question at all, partly because he wouldn't know what to say. But there was this pull, almost like a... connection.
And so he stayed, suffering the colourful group's quirky members, their naivety, their foolishness - and liking it, liking them, despite himself. Maybe here he can stay. Maybe he's done wandering on his own. Wandering with friends is... better, somehow.

Roost is cold towards others, and this has little to do with his liking or disliking of them. Some whisper he's spent too much time in frigid territory, or that his stay in the Icewarden's domain definitely didn't help his manners. That sort of gossip amuses Roost, but it amuses him even more to let them think they're pissing him off, and seeing them shrink back from his glare.
He will always, and with secret pleasure, correct you in your errors - Roost knows everything better than you, and he'll be a jerk about it. As a Plague dragon, he assists the clan's Doctor frequently for diagnosing an illness or a new virus, as well as joining his clanmates on the occasional hunt for food, being almost as well equipped to deal with the harsh territory of the shifting expanse as any Lightning dragon.
