Born to an elgant ridgeback and nocturne couple who died shortly after her hatching, Jay is the beloved younger sister to Silver. Jay is almost never seen without him, or without a strange black wildclaw at her side. Unfortunately for her, her start in life was somewhat... unorthodox. The dragon responsible for her parents deaths attempted to pass her off as their own child, keeping her naked and loosely bound to that clan. It wasn't until a skydancer named Mint passed through that she was able to escape.

She was promptly smuggled to Shadowsong where she reunited with her brother, who paid Mint a fee for the safe passage of his sister.

She's a happy, if not painfully naïve, young woman. Carefree, spirited and enraptured to the wonders of the world around her. She sees beauty in everything, and never means to be mean. She's a very, very literal dragon, and has a number of sensory issues that can and have caused a meltdown in the past. She says it as she sees it, and never retracts anything.

A few seem to think there's something wrong with her; that she's not quite right in the head. She doesn't mind; she is who she is, and haters will be haters.
