Trilibane is the clan's jeweler, one who delights in valuable gems and elegant decorations, to the point where he much prefers to hoard them all to himself than allow them to go to others whom he deems less worthy. Vain and selfish, he is likely to be found wearing any jewelry he has crafted no matter who it was commissioned for, and it generally takes the threat of a reprimand from the clan's stern leader, Stiletto, to convince him to hand anything over. He is convinced that he is the only one who is capable of truly appreciating his creations, and won't hesitate to tell a dragon off for wearing it with an unflattering color, or not being careful enough with it. He can be made to part with his jewelry under duress, but as far as he's concerned, it's all still his and he is generously allowing other clan members to serve as living showcases for his talent. Selling “his” jewelry is sacrilege, as far as he's concerned. He has to be propitiated with flowery speeches about his genius and how desperate the buyer was to possess such a piece of art. The duty of bringing him out of such a snit generally goes to those in the clan leader's disfavor. His attitude is tolerated by the rest of clan to a remarkable extent, considering that it contains a number of rough dragons who would just as soon demonstrate to the arrogant wildclaw just what they think of him. He has several times almost gotten in serious trouble for appropriating a prize jewel from the treasury to craft into an adornment. Its a wonder he still has his head. |
