______ Everything hurt; her entire body was destroying itself. The crystals that had been her curse Amelia's entire life were peeling themselves out of her hide. Even the ones on her wings, tearing out the leather as they forced themselves off of her. Nori and Phoebus couldn't do anything as they watched their friend scream in pain. If they tried to get too close, she clawed at them, unable to stop herself.

______ Hours later, when it was finally over, Amelia lay in a bloody pile, too hurt to move. Where the crystals had been thickest, there were deep wounds. Scars would be there forever, on her hide and her wings. That wasn't the only scar she would have from this, however, as her blood had stained her belly a bright red.

______ As she lay there, Amelia appeared in front of the bleeding nocturne. Her identity had changed again; when Carnia had become useless, the same things had happened. Amelia was dead now, gone when the crystals had forced themselves out of her, just like Carnia had done when Amelia took over. Now, the dragon rising from her own pool of blood was born again. Levynn would be an even better fighter. None would be able to defeat her. She would not let that happen again..
