Pacifica always wanted to be the center of attention. That never worked out, being in such a large lair, and was largely ignored until Princess picked zim out of the bunch. Zhe was the last one left in the lair from zis nest, and was starting to feel like a bit of a burden, even before adolescence. Princess has since done everything to make zim comfortable, but still, zhe longs for a stronger sense of belonging, a familial or romantic tie of some sort.
