Ever since he was a hatchling, Zeus has been interested in all things mechanical. He would take things apart and put them back together again just to see how they worked, and he grew quite adept at it. His talents were appreciated with his birth clan when they were needed, but he never had many friends. This was mostly his own choice, though, as he preferred the company of mechanical constructs over that of other dragons.

Then one day, disaster struck. Zeus had come across the remnants of a mechanical creature from the Golem Workshop. He saw a great opportunity to study it and maybe even put it back together into working order, and so that is exactly what he did. He hadn't, however, expected the creature to attack him once it was fixed, but that's what it did. Taken aback, Zeus could do little to defend himself as the creature tore up his face and his throat - mutilating him until he was practically unrecognizable.

The creature then fled and Zeus was left to try and put himself back together again. As with his mechanical constructs, he approached the patching up of his own face with the same kind of scientific professionalism. After weeks of working through the pain, completely isolating himself in his own workshop and worrying his clan mates, he was finished. He'd replaced parts of his face and throat with mechanical parts, and he was very pleased with the result. His clan mates, however, reacted with horror and he was practically forced to leave.

During his travels he eventually found his way to his current clan. With the changes in the clan, Zeus has been affected by the corruption in it. In order to combat any physical changes, Zeus has taken to replacing more and more of himself with mechanic and robotic parts...

Name meaning & origin: The name of a Greek god, related to the old Indo-European god Dyeus whose name probably meant "shine" or "sky". In Greek mythology he was the highest of the gods. After he and his siblings defeated the Titans, Zeus ruled over the earth and humankind from atop Mount Olympus. He had control over the weather and his weapon was a thunderbolt.
