Story The weak Noc was barely able to crack free of his shell, and the dragonling hissed at the warmth, trying to retreat to his admittedly melting shell, before the Lightning dragons quickly grabbed the pre mature hatchling, who weakly bit at them. Even after many weeks and months, the Nocturne was still weak, but now he was escaping from this stupid lab, taking an odd Egg that was from the same parents of him but from a more recent nest. He could of sworn it was a green and squishy Plague Egg before though..... Even so, he took it in his claws and flew away from the Lightning Farm, and towards the dim forest he had seen on a map and had drawn his instinct to go to. His breed’s homeland, covered in shadows; the Tangled Wood. Even in his kind’s home, the weak Nocturne had a hard time fending for himself, and though he wanted his sibling to hatch......He also wondered if he should simply eat the egg, since it showed no signs of hatching. He kept smacking his head against logs or trees whenever he thought that, scolding himself for thinking of harming his own unhatched sibling. The Nocturne didn’t want to be alone, and having the egg with him meant that if it did hatch, his sibling would be safer than with the Lightning scientists. Eventually, the Nocturne got stronger, and was finally able to hunt for himself with ease, but.....He lost the egg that held his baby sibling, and no amount of calling for the possible hatchling made it possible to find. He just ended up laying down in defeat and crying, wanting to find his unhatched sibling. After a long time, he was eventually found by another Nocturne, with glowing red runes and red and gold eyes. Though the young Nocturne couldn’t understand him, the adult Nocturne seemed to be rather pleased to see him, and thus made the smaller dragon come closer, before noticing the second pair of eyes and hissing at them. The second pair belonged to a new type of dragon he hadn’t seen before, who came close and stared into the young Nocturne’s eyes, before gently nuzzling his head and trying to lead him somewhere, while the older Nocturne flew away. The young dragon just followed the new dragon, hoping this would mean he found home. ........His only wish was that his sibling was here too..... Months later, the clan he joined to be with his family moved to a much brighter home, which was actually a little too bright for him. His name of Shadow was fitting; he kept hiding in the shaded parts, much to the amusement of his younger brothers. But.....It made him feel better to be here; the Woods just made bad memories pop up a lot.
