Theme - Remembrance Theme - King of Anything "Such a tangled web we weave."  Fiore is a dragoness that no one is quite sure about how or when she came to join. Willow's one of the few old enough to remember bringing the small pearlcatcher into the clan as a child, along with the eldest imperial couple that were raised alongside the unnaturally silent and observant child. Born with the power to see every dragon's past, present, or futures in the forms of fate strings through her magically tuned pearl, she was removed so young from her birth clan, the talent deemed too dangerous to allow a chance at life. And yet, she did, somehow survive, by meeting an already old and motherly Tundra called Willow, who took her into their easy going and peaceful clan. Many dragons tended to avoid Fiore in the early days of Sleepy Magics due to her unnerving silence towards others and almost ominous mumbling whenever she's alone, a habit that's persisted even in the present. The fate seer never seemed to mind, always keeping herself occupied by gazing into magic poured into her pearl that revealed the very threads of fate to her. It was interesting to her, to see how each and every member was born, lived, and died. Of course, this sort of curiosity ensured that Fiore would be one of the dragons that grew up quickly, having learned many of life's horrors before they even befell the clan. Fearing the many time lines where she was potentially ostracized and removed from the clan for her abilities before Willow could establish official law, Fiore hid away her talents and passed herself off as a simple seer with exceptional foresight. The trickery worked, and stayed prevalent due to it becoming an easy cover for her. More and more did Fiore hide under her guise of secrets, until no one was quite certain about her at all. The seer grew up on her own for the most part, sparse others taking an interest in her for a nest, or her small clan built family keeping her company. The few suitors Fiore had met sparked her interest in dragonets, especially since those born of her blood seemed to carry talents of peculiar natures. Soon it was actually quite normal to see a different dragon with her for each nest, each more different than the last. Fiore notably often hops around mates, not particularly loyal in her relationships as she seems a lot more interested in taking care of the dragonets that the coupling produces and raising them on her own without much regard to the sire. Fiore never tricked, beguiled, or charmed a dragon into letting her bear a nest, but neither did she stop anyone when pursued. Fiore is most proud of her daughters Leiyrrn and Pyrra, A great forest seer and a well trained warrior, respectively. She's enjoyed raising them under her cautious wing, and gladly let them both stay their own paths. Fiore even now quietly looks after her young ones by peering through the strings of fate in her pearl. Currently though, the dragoness busies herself with running the hatchery with more gusto along with Roseheart, spending time with any hatchling that has an affinity with magic to see how they might develop and learn. In secret, does she watch the world around her. Fiore only cares about threats to Willow or her clan, merely noting anything else that may catch her eye. But besides her twisting of fate, Fiore's been busy raising dragonets under her wing to grow into powerful magic users. She's the dragon responsible for Calypso continued stay in Sleepy Magic's clan, the fate seer taking the necromancer under her wing. Fiore had been the one to help Calypso control her magic- which had the tendency to spin out of control and take over the young dragoness. She still does watch over Calypso, always there to comfort and help her whenever she's overwhelmed. Her latest protege was the sullen ridgeback Eurgain, a surprising choice as the spiky youth had no magical talent to speak of. Fiore however, found the young one's love of literature to be endearing, and quickly set up Eurgain to become the next head of the Sleepy Magics library. She still comes in to keep an eye on her once little 'daughter', ensuring that the younger dragoness does her proud. Fiore's also had the pleasure of meeting Karma, an excitable spiral that was the physical enactment of their name. While she herself never seemed to be on the receiving end of his magic -for better or for worse- she did enjoy helping Karma with their own task by letting them borrow her fate sight occasionally. |
