Former leader of clan Heliotrope, Newt has been dethroned and with this comes an end of an era. He was finally removed from power by Henry when the new leader was born. Newt might just want.... revenge.

How he came to become leader is quite an interesting tale. Grimborn found him feeding off the corpse of a rather bloated Greatshell, and then proceeded to dress him in the softest clothes he could find. He then took Newt as his apprentice in the art of dead things. Naturally, Newt ate a lot of the dead things, so Grimborn set out to find a new job for him. Henry decided that Marimo shouldn't be leader anymore, so he announced Newt as clan leader, much to everyone's surprise.

Newt carries a journal containing all sorts of information everywhere. His Agol accompanies him everywhere, and acts as sort of a guard dog/companion. Newt will often stop and talk to it, and it will babble something unintelligible, and then Newt will respond. Almost like the crafty little fish creature knows something...
