Frog Prince

Pad was born to Fae clan that lived in the Southern Icefield, though he never knew them. Tragedy befell their nest one winter day- as often happens to old Fae lairs, the boughs of the tree grew too heavy to support the nests (whether from snow or the weight of the large clutch of eggs that had been incubating therin, it is uncertain) and the entire lair fell from the heights...

By some stroke of fate (or the Icewarden's touch, perhaps?) the nest containing Pad's egg survived the fall and found itself adrift an iceberg, where a day or so later it was discovered by the scouts from Ryu's clan.

Pad hatched two days later, and was quickly spoiled by the clan, who felt bad for the young orphan. As a result, he has become quite vain - and likes to stare at himself in the ponds in the lair's garden, a hobby which has earned him the title "prince of frogs."

Luck is still on his side, it would seem, because that is also where he met his princess, Lily, not long after the clan brought her home after another scouting mission. They truly are two of a kind...
