Gale's Thoughts: Xandra
...Is it weird that both of my best friends are spirals? I feel like most mirrors would think so.
I can always trust Liana to have my back in a fight, but Xandra is another beast entirely. Xandra is the reason I don't go completely insane on a daily basis. She's never been the brightest mind, but she's unwaveringly loyal and I can always trust her to distract me. She loves books and plays and paintings and can talk for hours without running out of topics that are currently fascinating her.
But more than anything, she loves clothes. And she loves making them. She'll look at a new clan member and immediately have three different outfit ideas already bouncing around in her brain. Something about dressing dragons just clicks in her brain, and I never see her happier than when her dream for someone's outfit is finally completed. When we get new fabrics and materials in, sometimes I'll see her just breathing in their scents like it's the best thing in the world.
I'm pretty sure she's the reason for at least 75% of the clan's looks by this point.
She and Killian came in to my clan together, and were the first marriage to take place within our borders. It was a beautiful affair, and I'll admit to tearing up a little. I'd never been asked to give a speech on anyone's behalf before.
Zev and I had a conversation one night about who we would like to be mated to most in the clan if not each other (we're both avid dragon-watchers in our free time, it's only natural we notice and comment on who we find most beautiful). He picked Ignacia.
I picked Xandra.
