The Gemstone

Sometimes, the smelting process of glass ends up a bit... unexpectedly. Occasionally, there are gemstones infused with a small amount of life inside them. All they need is a bit of tempering, a little heating, and they unfurl into a beautiful crystal Fae. While they cannot speak normally, they are adept at writing and the small tinkling noises they make change pitch based on their emotion. In addition, their highly reflective bodies can act as a small lantern at night.

Rosaline is the first of these such dragons to join K.T.'s clan. While it surprised K.T. quite a bit, Rosaline quickly became attached to her. Now she helps out in the forge, collecting materials and tools for K.T. to use.
