Battle Overseer; Progenitor
Mate to Ceryx
Oversees all combat-oriented portions of the Clan (Guard, militia, hunters).
A gentle soul at heart, but with fire and fervor to protect his Clan. Defers to those with greater knowledge than he in most areas, but has a good sense for what will do well for his Clan. Capable of extreme bursts of magic when provoked.
Old Bio: Hekkal and Shaatha were friends long before the founding of their Clan. When they decided to create one together, they made a pact to be willing to separate as a pair if one or the other (or both) found a more suitable mate to their hearts.
For Hekkal, that proved to be young Ceryx, a barely flighted adolescent that landed upon their crystalline cave-ledge in the half-light of dusk, blundering into the midst of their own youngsters and falling into an exhausted heap. The Clan welcomed her, and Ceryx soon became the darling of the clan as the youngest and brightest. She also developed an infatuation for Hekkal, which he gradually warmed to as she grew, and feelings on both sides deepened. Though not generally discussed, it is expected for the two to have a clutch of their own in the not-too-distant future.
Hekkal is calm and soft-spoken unless he needs to be heard; usually it is Shaatha's voice commanding the Clan. His own strengths lie in exactly that: strength. A powerful warrior and defender of the Clan, he is nevertheless a gentle soul among dragons - and always eager to learn about other Flights.
