 D I O D O R U S cunning • charismatic • dread king «- - - - - - - - - - - - - ❖ - - - - - - - - - - - - -» Diodorus was not born to be a traitor, but a traitor he became. He was already fighting negative allegations that come with being a Ridgeback, and perhaps that is part of the reason why he leaned into the role so easily. One can only take so much pressure to be a villain before succumbing to the title. Despite claims of him being a threat to the throne, Diodorus had long earned Setter's trust as a capable dragon that only wanted what's best for the clan, and Setter easily turned a blind eye to his shenanigans, claiming that as a Skydancer, he would know for sure if Diodorus was plotting against him. Yes, he stole from other dragons, but borrowing is just the nature of a Ridgeback, he will always give back what he took if you ask. Yes, he has said plenty of ill towards the king, but Setter sometimes lacks good sense and that's why he's the trusted advisor and second in command when it comes to war and defending the clan. Yes, perhaps...perhaps Setter was never fit to be king of a Plague clan, he's a Light clan dragon that took the throne when they didn't need a king. Diodorus might not be a Plague inborn dragon himself, but hasn't he earned the right just as much as Setter to lead? It's time for a new King, if Setter has too many issues that he cannot properly deal with.
