Naaru, Abacus' mate, is a devoted Light follower. She values wisdom and intellect, and holds a firm belief that any predicament can be solved with an enlightened mind. Her, perhaps obsessive, devotion to the philosophy of Light tend to become a bit too much for the rest of the clan sometimes. She has been described by others as "holier-than-thou", "know-it-all" and similar - but perhaps a bit ruder - things. Despite her maybe having a bit of a straining personality, she is rather well respected among the others for her wide-spanning knowledge as well as her fighting skills. She usually keeps to herself, and to Abacus of course, which is something that the rest of the clan does not complain about.

She is very proud to be wearing the illuminated emblem, and she strongly insists that it increases her mental capacity. There is no evidence to support that statement, but then again, there's no evidence to disprove it either.

While Naaru is appreciative of all familiars, if she had to pick one that stands out from the rest it would be the sunbeam ursa - a creature with an important cause, who is guided by the Light.

Naaru does nothing without thoughtful consideration, and that includes eating. She only eats the most nutritious foods, and of course she cooks everything in vegetable oil for the healthy fat, and for the hearty taste.

The one inexpendable thing from the hoard is the beeswax, according to Naaru. It can be used to heal wounds, to relieve hunger, and - best of all - to make a buttload of candles for illumination.
