Raine

Slender and elegant, Raine usually wears a patient and warm smile and she greets every dragon she passes with a gentle nod and sometimes a few words in her clear and lilting voice - a conversation between herself and Briska would likely be the most relaxing exchange a dragon could eavesdrop on. She uses her voice and soothing words much like the Snapper, though the recipients of her comfort are usually dragons grieving over those who’ve passed on – or the passed themselves. In between her lessons with Rhiannon and Flannery, she tends to the departed and the ones they’ve left behind, specializing in those who’ve been lost to the sea as she ferries them to the beyond. Sometimes she helps to settle unfinished business - or even ask questions and pass messages through the veil of death if the need is great enough. Flannery often pesters her with questions about the world beyond as she looms and leers at the poised Guardian who tactfully deflects her inquiries, eventually cloistering her under her wing and resting her chin on the Imperial’s head, silencing the raggedy dragon’s pestering and replacing it with unsettling – yet strangely endearing – raspy cackles.
