Obrad was an energetic and highly curious Coatl hatchling, always investigating something (providing plenty of headaches for his parents in the process). He explored every inch of the area around their lair in the Everbloom Gardens, delighting in the vibrantly blossoming flowers and fluttering insects.

However, as he grew, he desired to see more of the world - to experience more beautiful and intriguing things.

At the edge of the Fishspine Reef, he met Aysu.

He was fascinated by her: she was beautiful and graceful, an embodiment of the haughty Pearlcatcher species... but there was an indefinable sadness about her. She was aloof... yet intimate. Cold, yet caring.

He was smitten.

He couldn't communicate these things to her clearly. He brought her gifts: beautiful flowers and shining trinkets, tasty morsels and lovely jewelry. He lived for her smiles.

But he felt this wasn't enough. The best traits of his Coatl heritage - his generosity and vivaciousness - were hampered by his inability to communicate clearly. He wanted to be able to tell Aysu absolutely how much she meant to him.

He resolved to become a Pearlcatcher.

And he did it. He acquired a magical scroll. He became a Pearlcatcher. 		nature_0.png

When they settled in Deoradhan-Kunibert, they had two clutches together - and it seemed that their children were wanderers.

Yet Obrad understood this, searching for a place to belong, and hopefully, to love. He had found his place as Aysu's assistant in the floral business; his children deserved the same chance.
