Biography
Gale's Thoughts: Nadia
Nadia is the self-proclaimed "steampunk queen" of the clan.
I swear she's got some kind of sense for when Victor's working on a new steampunk piece; I've seen her over at his shop more than once as he bangs and clatters about, just so she can watch him work. When he's fixing up outfits or making new apparel, she's less interested (unless he's fixing hers), but if it's one of his art pieces, she'll watch him all day.
It's strange that she spends so much time in a place that's so loud, but her appreciation for the art must overwhelm her dislike for loud noises, because she's normally as far away from the louder members of the clan as she can get. She spends a lot of time in Xander's little bookshop or hanging out with me or Zezili or one of her siblings. She also likes Paradise (she says the skydancer gives good hugs), but after a couple of hours, she prefers to find someone else.
Honestly, I think she'd live out in Purlieus Hagalaz where it's more spread out if the dragons she liked most weren't so centrally located in the clan.
Nadia doesn't have an official clan role; focusing on one task at a time has always been a struggle for her. She's easily distracted, often leaving projects half-finished. She's not lazy by any means, but anything that catches her eye captures her attention so easily it's almost comical. She's got an artistic spirit, though, and I've been thinking about asking Victor to see if he'd be willing to let her help with a few of his pieces.
One thing I have noticed, though, is that she's very empathetic, and is better than even most of the skydancers in the clan at reading emotions. She'll come up to me at random points throughout the day and say things like "you should talk to Impulse before he ties himself around the maple tree again" or "Ilosovic's feeling particularly murderous today." She never tells me exactly what's happening with a clan member, but she's never wrong. More than one spat or anxiety attack or bad day has been prevented (or at the very least, successfully mediated) because of Nadia's subtle interference.
...Maybe she's got some kind of spiritual intuition. I should ask a seer or a known psychic if there's any potential there.
