Maragaine

Uh-oh, looks like this ambitious Nocturne wandered a little too far from her lair 146985 Darkplague, and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the urge to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her home instead, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here.

On May 2nd, a small Nocturne named Maragaine was born. After being in one lair for a short while, Maragaine got a little curious. She started to explore outside the comfort of the lair with her brother, Mythology. The two siblings were always curious what was going on in the outside world. Their mother and father were apart of 'Dragons Off To See The World'. The two siblings discussed and decided to to follow in their parents footsteps.

After exploring for almost a month, the siblings had returned home! They have desided to stay for a little bit and rest with the family for a couple days. There adventures will continue soon...

Soon after visiting old friends and family, the two curious Nocturne dragons could not wait any longer to start exploring again. After they said their fairwells, the two were off onto a new adventure!

After an extended stay in a strange Wind Flight clan, Maragaine yet again felt the urge to stretch her wings and explore the unknown. (The Olive Snake infestation in what had served as her burrow helped the decision.) The fruit-eating Mirror and vicious Guardian who had served as her and her brother's host family pressed upon her a small otter-like thing that she had once caught inside her hoard one night.

The two siblings then appeared at the Sgianath clan. A clan dedicated to fighting beast clans and keeping the peace between the other clans in the sea.
Maragaine and her brother were both slightly skilled in battle and so Seaweed decided to teach them both new fighting styles only Water Flight dragons knew.
Once Maragaine and her brother had to leave Seaweed decided to have one last brawl with her.

The two first started off on a small rocky island jutting out of the ocean. The whole clan was watching from the water.
Seaweed decided to make the first move, and she moved quickly sweeping her off her feet with her long whip like tail.
Maragaine quickly took to the air and flew to the opposite end of the rock. She then pushed off of it and tried to headbutt Seaweed. The mirror nimbly moved aside, but Maragaine saw that coming and opened her wings and bit into Seaweed's tail (one of the most sensitive areas on a dragon's body) Seaweed howled in pain and slashed at Maragaine with her sharp small talons. Maragaine felt with the blows and landed hard hits with her wing, each time making contact with Seaweed's head.
She could hear dragons cheering in the background and smiled.
But Seaweed suddenly ducked and went out of striking range for Maragarine's wing attacks. Seaweed nimbly went behind her by ducking under her wing and jumped onto her back.
Maragaine jerked trying to get Seaweed off, but ended up tripping on the soft rocky floor. By doing this, her throat was then bared and Seaweed angled her teeth onto the throat.
She covered her teeth with her lips and growled, "do you admit to defeat?"
"I do..." Maragaine gasped.
The two stood up with the Sgianath clan cheering in the background, splashing waves with their wings. Roaring out compliments to the two warriors. Mythology smiled in the background and nodded. It was time for the two to go.

The siblings landed briefly in wind territory for a brief rest. With brightshine celebrations in full effect, one didn't have to look far to find an adventerous and slightly overly full lair sharing food with everyone. A good meal and full belly later, the next day the siblings said fairwell to keep moving.

The duo had left the light, flying for the plague. They hoped to see some familiarity since their last visit home. They landed in a clearing off in the Wandering Contagion. An unfamiliar Pearlcatcher greeted them, her body covered with ice.
"Welcome, fellow plagues. My name given at birth is Aura." She has a very calm light about her. "I am what one would call the Queen of this clan, Amaebrathe." Aura nods her head towards where other dragons are resting. "Those ones like to sleep in, but other than that fact, make yourself at home." The two walked with her, till' parting ways at the sleeping area.
A male Ridgeback stirred, before shooting his eyes open. "'Ey! What do you think you're doing in my awesome domain!?" He raises his chest, trying to intimidate them.
"We're travelers," Maragaine answers for the two of them. The Ridgeback calms down, resting backdown.
"Sorry, my bad. My name is Clockwork. Aura is my mother." He gives a slight smile. They have a small chat before Clockwork walks off towards a tent-like structure.
The duo stayed at the plague clan for a few days, before deciding to depart.

After their stay in Plague, Maragaine suggested they go back to the Windswept Plateau. On their way to the Cloudsong, they got lost in a storm and lost some of their belongings, including Maragaine's black arm bow. After the storm, they stumbled upon a performance by some traveling performers, which brightened their spirits. They stayed to watch, then continued on their journey.

The two wanted to reach a more lively place, like a forest of some sort, but the Windswept Plateau was wide and the winds blew hard. They felt tired and had not much to eat, so they felt lucky and relieved when a small group of hunting dragons found their temporary base and invited them to stay with their clan. The festival of the Lightning Flight was big enough to reach the Wind clan, so the nocturnes decided to stay for the festivities and the feast. They left well-rested for a new place with new adventures.

The two siblings came across a small encampment within nestled The Southern Icefield. They decided to rest for a bit, and unbeknownst to them they stayed for quite some time. They enjoyed their time they'd spent in The Aetherwood Garrison and even made a few friends. Though they decided to leave after their long time in the snow covered camp.
