Biography
"It's quiet out here, in the woods. We help those that need us, and turn none away from our doorstep. But at the end of the day, we keep our noses clean. We want no trouble here. Just peace in our old age."
A timid, peace-loving raptor who only seeks to live a good life, deep in the forest with his mate. Once a member of a larger clan, where his shy voice was constantly drowned out by others, Timber's only solace used to be the company of birds. Even now, he rests boughs on his shoulders and lets rich arbors embrace his wings, so that feathered visitors may feel more at home. He's learned to chirrup and sing with the best of them, still soft-spoken, but now the loudest of all his friends. Timber and Autumn met Sol's company and took them in for a night of shelter and good food, and wouldn't dream of turning children or their protectors out in the cold. The couple tries to stay out of trouble, but their hearts beat warmly for every poor traveler that crosses their doorstep. |

· Timid | Gentle | Quiet ·
Timber was always small for a Wildclaw, becoming timid and fostering a stutter as other young dragons grew to tower over his lanky frame and boast over his quiet nature. Now far from the company of such dragons, Timber prefers the forest for a friend, where his size doesn't matter, and his gentleness is just right.
On top of his graywood hide and bright green wings, Timber has added a bushel of branches to his already treeish appearance. He spends days sitting quietly amid the woods or by streams, silently offering a still perch and a welcome chirp. Birds have become Timber's closest companions. They nest in his branches and wings and sometimes in his head feathers, and when they sing, he can put his stutter aside to match their pitch and share their melody.
Much like his new confidants, Timber is gentle and peaceful, but considerably high-strung. When noises in the forest spook the birds, their perch is likely to jump in alarm before they do. The only dragon in his company, Autumn, has found it best to approach Timber with plenty of warning, to use a quiet voice, and to be very acceptant of feathered company.
Quiet, timid,
A bit on the small side.
But, it seems the forest doesn’t care.
Here among the leafy archways,
Here by the babbling stream,
Hear him sing.
For the moment he forgets his stutter,
And for a moment his voice is smooth and beautiful.
Like his friends, he sings of the beauty of the trees,
And how nature comes together in perfect harmony.
