Aureaoe

Auroaoe embraces a policy of actions over words, charging headlong and headstrong into any fight he can find. He is a warrior’s idol, a golden testament to the glory of strength and sheer tenacity. He does not know defeat, only a harder and more desperate struggle. Victory is too intoxicating to abandon. Its ambrosia drives him back into the fray, scales still flecked with the last round’s sweat and blood, face split into a joyous roar. It is rare that he finds a task too mighty to tackle, and even then he throws himself forward with fervor. Should he be left unchallenged, he typically resorts to fighting himself—a highly destructive process that led to the partial collapse of his old lair. It was this that drove him southwards, down into the Ice Warden’s domain. His current position within the clan is a gift of sorts, a token of gratitude for single-handedly driving off a fearsome beast. Victory is Auroaoe’s ultimate quarry, and he is an able hunter indeed.

But victory can be an elusive thing. In the back of his den, nestled amongst animal skins and war trophies, there is a small and exceedingly amateur portrait of a certain coatl. He looks at it sometimes, blushing fiercely before reburying it, only to take it out to study once more. He tells himself that she deserves better, so he gives her his best; every jagged slash, every death-defying spiral becomes a testament to his unspoken love. Someday, DreamScape will notice him. Until then, he’ll spend his days the only way he can: in the pursuit of victory, in a dance with death.
