Biography

An actual mess of lore that apparently didn't save correctly before I could copy paste it. Will clean up eventually.

A lone egg lay nestled among the coiling roots of an ancient tree. Alone and forgotten, the little Wildclaw clawed his way out of his egg and tumbled down the roots to the ground. Belly-flopped in the dirt, he opened his eyes to see a small bee hive, broken into numerous pieces along the ground after the branch it had been attached to became detached from its tree. The bees were frantically buzzing around their dismantled combs while the little drake sat up and watched.
Having just hatched, the Wildclaw was not entirely sure what he was looking at, but out of curiosity he reached for one of the combs. The bees stung his arm, causing him to recoil in pain and lick his paw. The honey that stuck to his hand was sweet and enticing, but he was fascinated by how sticky and goopy it was; giggling, he picked up a few of the combs and tried to stick them on the tree. Unfortunately, none of them held very well to the bark so he instead began sticking them to himself (which in hindsight was probably not a very intelligent idea). He was stung numerous times, but the pain hardly bothered him anymore and eventually the hive settled in and calmed down with their comb firmly attached to the hatchling’s back.
Over time, the two formed a sort of symbiotic relationship; the Wildclaw protected the bees from other threats, shielding the hive with his wings, while the bees inevitably produced an excess of honey which they grew habituated to the Wildclaw occasionally pilfering some. Without a clan to call home, the drake simply became a nomad, wandering through the Viridian Labyrinth at his leisure and enjoying the world around him with his little friends in tow. Over the years of encounters with various clans within the woods, he learned of the common draconic language and tidbits about the various other lands outside of his wooded home. He eventually decided on the name ‘Bryn’ for himself; he was the hill upon which his hymenopteran companions sat.

One day while tending the garden of a lair he had been staying at, a large luminous Ridgeback had burrowed his way through earth beneath to express his clan’s gratitude for the role Nature had played in assisting Lightning’s research about Spring before vanishing beneath the ground from whence he came. The older Wildclaw looked up at the canopy above, concerned that there were dragons out there that had never experienced the wonders of the natural world. The Ridgeback had mentioned something about his lair consisting of an oasis which they were planning on improving. Bryn knew the Lightning domain consisted of a vast desert, but he was curious about this supposed oasis in the middle of the rolling dunes. He said his goodbyes to the clan he had been resting with and packed some satchels with food, water, and extra honey for his bees as he prepared to venture outside of the Labyrinth for the first time.
The journey was long and slow, flying at low speeds to prevent any damage to the hives and walking most of the distance when it was safe to do so. The various biomes on the way to the Shifting Expanse were fascinating but the desert itself was vastly intimidating with the lightning crackling overhead and next to no foliage in site. But he pressed on.

He looked up at the dense canopy above, always fascinated by the diversity of lush flora throughout the Shrieking Wilds he called home. Bryn carries a honey bee colony along his back which he has nurtured since he was a mere hatchling; his parents had also been beekeepers who had passed the tradition down to him. Over the years, Bryn developed a nomadic lifestyle in order to share his life's work with the other denizens of the Viridian Labyrinth; hymenopterans are a welcome blessing for Nature clans struggling to care for the trees and gardens near their home.

The ground shook as a large luminous Ridgeback burrowed his way back into the ground beneath forest. Supposedly the science-y types at the Tempest Spire had been baffled by the notion of 'Spring' and were vehemently researching what it was for the week prior. The older Wildclaw looked at the sky, concerned that there were dragons out there who had never experienced the wonders of the natural world. Throughout his life he had been fascinated by the flora
