Biography

Captain of the Wardens and elder. Almacios is the firstborn of the clan. He originally started life as a Guardian but was changed into a Ridgeback through arcane means. He was taught to fight early in his life and has developed his skills primarily towards defending his home. When Culcula decided to set aside a sect of fighters to serve exclusively as guards, she appointed Almacios as Captain for his strength and his wisdom.

Almacios is not particularly learned, but he possesses a good deal of common sense, and is furthermore inclined to think before he acts. He is known for his dry and deadpan sense of humor, as well as his patience. He is good friends with Steeldust, a fellow Guard and former mate of Almacios's daughter, Curtana.

He takes the defense of his home and his family very seriously. His fellow Wardens have been appointed only after they've earned his full trust, and he maintains a vested interest in their happiness and well-being.
