Chartreuse

~The Hidden Huntress~

Fathered by a skydancer with a whimsical nocturne for a mother, Chartreuse was a born trickster. She would prank her brothers and sisters -endlessly- growing up, but once she grew to a certain age, this heckling jester turned lethal. For a time, her deadly effeciency was only demonstrated on hunts for food, but more elder dragons of the clan voiced repeated worries for her vicious nature.

Sensing possible danger, Chartreuse fled the clan, moving to the midst of the Reefcliff Ascent, where she would weave between cliffs and hunt flyers who weren't as agile. Sometimes these were mere birds...other times they were hatchlings of clans learning to fly. Hardwired for survival beyond what would ever be expected of a wind dragons, she became such a nuisance that more powerful dragons descended from their homes in the Cloudsong to be rid of her.

She was chased into The Twisting Crescendo, disappearing into the wild ripping winds of the storm, believed dead when she did not return after a day's flight. They could not have been farther from the truth. Here in this terrifying place, she was met by the father of all wind dragons, the Windseeker himself. She was questioned about her nature and her drive for death, then guided from the whirling storm by the graceful diety. The meeting with him...rewrote her. She reconsidered her thoughts, her habits, everything, coming to the conclusion her skill for murder could be used in other ways.

For dozens of decades, she used her savage prowess to protect those of the wind flight and their allies from dragons who sought war or needless death. In these travels, she encountered a massive Guardian as vicious as she. Where he may have been stronger, she was faster and smarter. She taught him his folly every single attempt he made on the lives of wind dragons, and further onward until he finally saw a pattern and cornered her.

Expecting death, this Guardian, one Erron Black, spared her life. She was surprised, and as she got to know the Outlaw, she would understand he could never be predicted, typically always a step ahead...except with her. She would never know if he deliberately stayed behind her when it came to wit, or if she truly was above being his equal, but it was a question she was willing to leave unanswered.

The duo have recently bitten off more than they could chew, captured by a clan of the Ice flight. Like all females of the Clan of Refuge, she lays eggs whenever demanded as fodder for the Icewarden. Due to this falacy, Chartreuse patiently awaits the day she is given the chance to kill the clan's matriarch, Vuthaxarzith, leaving the mighty titan Vythernok to her beloved pet Outlaw.
