She's still working on understanding the whole "appropriate time and method for hugging" thing; not everyone needs a warm embrace when being asked if they're enjoying their stay... and not everyone should get a butt-grab hug, for that matter. In fact, most people probably shouldn't get a butt-grab hug. While it might seem a dramatic switch to the casual observer, Tchakoum's transition from being the Fairweather's head of hospitality to running the manufacturing end of The Independence Projects was actually more about a change of venue. After all, she had long been building automatons to help maintain the Fairweather, and had constructed many more simply for her own amusement. Sure, TIP automatons tend to be less about sleek and marketable exteriors, leaning more toward heavy armaments and a resistance to tampering. But that's just to make certain they survive out there in that big, dangerous world, and to avoid a repeat of the mass corruption among Tchakoum's previous staff that lead to Shade-possessed automatons and golems destroying the Fairweather. For all of her recent hardships, Tchakoum is still a friendly soul with a poor handle on personal space. |
