Zan

Somehow the twins managed to finagle their way home with the Smokeveil Clan after a Wavecrest Saturnalia celebration when they were only hatchlings. No one is quite sure how this happened.

Zan and his sister Jayna are almost always together (and just because you only see one of them doesn't mean the other isn't somewhere nearby). They do the uncanny twin thing of silent communication and anticipating each other's movements, as if they're two parts of a whole. Despite that, they're outgoing, gregarious, and inquisitive about other dragons. They're fascinated by anything magical, mystical, or otherworldly, and if it's anywhere within their reach, they'll have their dragon fingers into it. (These two are the type to see a magical artifact, go "ooh, what does this do," and accidentally open a portal to the Shade.)

Zan is the slightly more brash of the two, and also the more likely to do something recklessly or overhastily and fall on his face (or into the Beastclan meeting that they've been spying on). He can be boastful and sometimes exaggerates his abilities or knowledge. He's also a fast thinker and highly creative. Of the two, he tends to come up with the more elaborate plans. He loves a party and can always be found at the center of a good time.
