Nightwish
The Leash

Abandoned in the Plaguelands after his parents were slaughtered by roving Mirrors, Nightwish doesn't remember the name he was originally given, and did the best he could moving Lair to Lair and basically begging his way through existence. On and off raised by various clan members who cared little for him, or found themselves unable to give the love he needed, he knows little of genuine Coatl nature outside of the language basics and a desperate sense of nostalgic belonging. He was eventually picked up by Anton, after the Lair he had been staying with fell on hard times and were unable to support extra mouths. Gathered into the bizarre Tundra's "collection" of Dragons, Nightwish was introduced to Xaitos...and decided that the defender had to be his.

Unwilling to accept the cool exterior, he persisted until 'noticed' became 'tolerated', and advanced his opinion with the swarthy master of defense as best he was able. Since then, he has been a sounding board for Xaitos, he listens to his woes, calms his rages, and gives him everything he desires. Both are open to small flings with various females, but find little comfort in their chatter or action, instead always returning to one another to show off children and resume the relationship that brings them peace and a sense of belonging that can't be overcome.
Nightwish concerns himself very little with the actual drama of the Lair politics, instead involving himself in hoard organization and management and blending into the background as a bland, but friendly face. His eavesdropping skills are quite excellent, however, and his ability to relay so very many random tidbits to his mate is directly tied to Xaitos' ability to be in the right place at the right time, more often than not.

Personality: Overbearing, shy, sincere, controlled
Mate: Xaitos, though the pair will occasionally seek out a female for nesting purposes, they always find themselves unable to stand anyone but each other. Nightwish would have no one but his mate, in all honesty.
Familiar: Familiars come and go, he prefers large, snarling monsters that he can help his mate tame before sending them off to be guards beasts.
Friends: Over half of the Lair, Nightwish's only true friend is his mate, but he's as friendly as can be with everyone.
