Arcee thought she always had the perfect family; Her father loved her mother, and her parents loved her and her older sister. But her perfect world came crashing down when her sister, Minaj convinced her to run away. After they had run away, Minaj and Arcee had a fight and Minaj left her in the middle of nowhere all alone.
After many months wondering around the Tangled Woods, Sunbeam Ruins and the Shifting Expanse she finally found this clan. They invited her to stay with them and eventually join them.

Optronix
While she was in Lightning territory she came across the Roiz Clan, they invited her to stay a couple of weeks. While she was there she fell in love with their Head of Technologies, Optronix.
It took her a long time to figure it out, but after 2 breakups, getting back together with him twice and moving in with him (which she thought was him taking another step in their relationship) she finally told him she couldn't take it any more and left. She knows now that really, his inventions were his real love.
