Gilda is a fairly violent dragon. Or at least she is when she's hunting. No creature stands much of a chance when Gilda sinks her incisive fangs into their fragile bodies. Back in the lair, she is overall pleasant towards her fellow clan members, but fairly nasty in her verbalization towards passers by. She is extremely different to her sister, Velvet, but the two love each other deeply.

She is a very proud dragon, who takes great pride in her duty. She is incredibly proud of her lair and all of her fellow clan members, so much so that when her brothers chose to leave, she had no sympathy for them when she heard that they had both been exalted. To her, there is no greater honour than being surrounded by a group of dragons who love you as much as you love them.

Her Crimson Emperor, whom she calls Gallopa, was another successful match for Starlight. Gilda is becalmed when she is next to her, and is much less likely to say anything nasty to the travelling dragons that frequently spend the night in the lair.

Gilda is a hunter, a rarin', tearin' hunter, and she always knows just what to do. Whereas most of the dragons rely on Moonlight to lure prey, Gilda prefers to hunt solitarily, though always remembers to keep a close distance. This is just in case her crafty tricks backfire, and she ends up crossing the path of a creature who might prevent her from her duty.

More recently, she has had an admirer. Johan. Although she initially rejected his offer to be his mate, he soon managed to sway her around by dropping her the most dorky of poetic compliments, getting her favourite song sung by Treestar over lunch as well as a beautiful rose which she carries with her when not on duty.
