To deny my nature would be to deny being a dragon. It is our challenges that shape us, for better or ill.


Backstory
Auron, the chosen name of a self made dragon. He's a young, honourable warrior, though lacking the strength of his competitors speed and stealth usually see him through. Auron is an incredible flier (as long as he remains un burdened- heavy armour is a no-go) and he serves as an aerial tactician and messenger during peace times.
Many would choose to discredit him as a "tomboy with a chip on her shoulder', though they aren't given the privilege of a response.
Outside the fray, Auron is a patient gentleman with an enchanting singing voice no one but his reflection has ever heard.

(Note: Auron is tolerant, if barely, of the feminine spelling of his name. Au'Ron would be preferable, but he says he'll use it the day he doesn't have to correct a stranger.)
"I read it in a story once! A scaleless grey dragon hero... so that's what I picked!"

The passive aggressive mood that Nann maintained had melted away once they were alone. She was thoughtful, though Auron couldn't tell if she was actually happy. Did she forget how?

Nann reclined next to the newest hatchling, holding polite conversation while she watched the others play some distance away. "I think I know the story. Why not name yourself for his sisters though? There were many brave dragonelles too."

"None of them were grey, silly." The little skydancer replied, then added in a hush of embarrassment "And i'm not a girl.."

Nann watched the chick fidget, Auron's claws having apparently become quite fascinating.

"... I see."

"Are you mad?"

"No. Come, let me introduce Ae'Dyn to our newest young drake."

Amethyst eyes beamed at his new mentor, happily trotting along behind her.
