Spuma Maris is the clan's lead tinker, and is also a surprisingly clumsy Skydancer. Just from looking at her, you wouldn't be able tell that she's uncoordinated. Her role as head tinker leaves her in charge over several areas and multiple projects. Steam pipe maintenance? She organizes it. Need new den construction? She's already on it. The only thing that holds her back is her inelegance. She tries to blame it on her gembond scars, but we all know the truth.

She began her life in the Lightning Farm of the Shifting Expanse, which is where she learned her skills. She fit easily within her birthclan, and took to the long hours quite well. However, as she aged, she grew tired of being bossed around by the BOSS, and struck out in search of a new clan in the Starfall Isles, where the local deity was rumored to be more laid-back with his citizens. She passed through the Scarred Wasteland, gaining gembond scars as unfortunate souvenirs. Along the way, she met her mate, Prolixus Venenum, who was suffering the harsher effects of the gembond disease at the time. Spuma cared for him as best as she could until an Arcane scouting party found them and accepted them into Clan Vapor Latras.

Spuma Maris's connection with Prolixus Venenum runs very deep; the two are always seen preening one another whenever they're not busy with clan duties. They always maintain a mental bond, no matter how far apart they are from one another. If one is seriously hurt or in danger, the other is immediately there.
