He came from another clan, far away as a young hatchling. His determination allowed him to cross the scarred waistland where he was brought into the Navixros clan by the powerful Nightbringer. As he matured, he knew that he had found a good home. A perfect place to be accepted, and no matter what happens he must think the best of his situation. Their clan leader, Nightbringer was the one who taught him how to read. She was the one that allowed his love for books to blossom.

With time as he became an adult, algormortis began hoarding books into his lair, and recording the events of the clan. For this reason he became the scribe of the lair, especially because he did not like leaving his cave. His library has record of the stories of every single derg in the clan, as well as the different dergs who have taken temporary rest. Eventually with time his library was an excellent source of information on the dergs, and beastclan of sonierth.

But one day when he woke up to maintain his usual routine, he noticed something odd. The flesh of his body had begun to rot. He did not know why he was rotting, and simply bandaged up his flesh. He was not the type to lose hope. By this point he stopped leaving his cave since he has a reason to stay. The constant pain was agony for him, so he immersed himself in his work of reading books, and transcribing a record of their clan. Members of the clan would stop into his lair so that they could help him out, as well as fetch anything he needed from outside.
One of these dragons was a female skydancer named Nirvini, who was stunning to behold with those leaf green crystals. She had been born in a foreign clan, and wandered into their lands. She wanted to become a master medic and scribe. She would bring him food, and they would talk on his books. He would keep records of her different medicines, and secretly loved her company as they would talk for hours on different books.
"This looks to hurt you greatly, even now you struggle to move, and your mind seems to slowly become fogged with each passing day"
Nirvini told him, as she gently caressed his face.
"The pain has lasted only for a while. It's sting has begun to lessen. The satisfaction of transcribing these books, and keeping records makes it all worth it."
Nirvini's concern for Algormortis is what made them experiment with medicine. Eventually with time they found one, that helped keep the fog from his mind. That helped improve his skills at keeping track of the history of the clan. They would work together preparing the medicine for him to drink each day.

Then the day came, when Nirvini had left for the Plaguebringer. It was a moment that broke his heart. He stopped talking for months on end, but at least was taking the medicine, and eating the food brought to him. He did not touch his books for a while, remembering her. But he knew he must keep working hard, for her sake, as well as the sake of the clan. That motivation is what made him continue to transcribe everyone's history.

For some of the events he would come out of his hole, because the pain was gone, and he could not feel anything. The medicine was the only thing keeping his mind clear at this point. His interest in wandering was so he could get his mind off of Nirvini. That was how he realized what he had become. His body twisted and distorted, resembling an emperor, even though he was still sane. He was not fusing with the other imperials of the clan, who were not exactly sane. This caused him to experiment and realize he was different only because of the medicine that they had made together. He was grateful to Nirvini.

The clan leader Nightbringer and her favorite mate Xanatos were both surprised and intrigued by this turn of events. He was surprised to be allowed in the clan still. Especially since his temper would flare up randomly as bouts of violence and hostility would hit him at random. Now he would vent those moments in the coliseum, attacking all in his path with his magic. He was still the clan scribe, and enjoyed keeping his records alone, and rarely got anyone to visit his lair. Mostly because they had no reason to, and some of the visitors were scared of a barely sane emperor dragon who is holding himself together from a strange medicine.
