 Having emigrated from the clan Tikindi, Castus agreed to move from his home clan primarily because of Purity, who won his heart upon first glance. Now in the clan of Bruins, Castus spends his time treating sickly dragons and other creatures with natural remedies and magical cures. In his off time, Castus likes to nap a lot and tend to the flora around his "office," a nook in Greatwyrm's Breach affected by the Labrynth's influence. Because of his general kindness to all life around him, more conscious or more magical lifeforms have formed mutualistic relationships with him, granting him immediate access to the spoils of nature in exchange for a bit of his own blood and energy.

Castus' most important patient is his own love, Purity, whose rare, crystalline affliction of the body will kill him in due time. Although Purity seems content with his fate, the doctor is not, and he will not let him die if he can help it.
