Sunda

Consider giving contour. Has lovely subtle effect.

Alright. It's time you guys met Sunda. He came with the name so suggested alternates would be very much considered!

Firstly, his markings - I'm not completely sure he's finished. The second picture shows him without apparel or accent - he has a white belly. The third shows the alternate I'm considering - remove the white belly (leaving cream belly and highlights) and give him the contour gene. You can see it on the third picture as a very subtle line along the bottom of his markings (compare to the second, you can how it changes the marking shape) and the white tips to his wings. So I'm not sure which to go with.

Secondly - personality. Oh, man.

Sunda's mother was a scam artist. She faked communication with the spirits, casting runes and stones, telling the future etc. She was very very good at what she did, and she passed it all on to Sunda before she died. They travelled constantly but he hated it, so when she died he found Clan Morpho and settled here, continuing his mother's legacy of fake fortunes and false castings. With one difference.

He doesn't know it's fake.

She never told him. She needed it to be believable coming from him as much as from her and she knew children aren't usually great at acting. So she lied to him too. She died very suddenly (let's just say all that travelling wasn't just so her scams were never discovered - she also owed some very nasty dragons a lot of money) and never got to tell him.

He doesn't communicate with the spirits but he fully believes he will one day if he earns the right - that being the lie his mother told him to keep up the deception. He casts, though, and tells fortunes, and because he has his mother's gift of reading body language he is believable.

No one knows he's a fake. After all - he's not actually lying so there's no deceit to pick up on. But he has no more spiritual ability than a twig. And no clue that is the fact.
