Takanuva Toa of Light "I remember the first time me and Ravex met, she could have killed me,she was going to, but she knew me. I cant explain how, we had never met before. I had always known that the Makuta where powerful and had seen first hand what they where capable of. I had always heard stories of how they feed off of others fear, the more scared you are, the more powerful it is. Some mad matoran rants that if you are afraid enough they can see into your mind and find what monster scares you most then shape-shift into it. Then again, he was a raving lunatic.... I can recall every detail of that night when she had knocked me out of the air and cornered me. I had never been so afraid. I had encountered Makutas before and even killed some, why was this one different? I was backed up against a large tree, she approached in a sinister manner with her jaws parted. She looked me dead in the eyes for I cant say how long. It could have been only a moment or possible an hour either way, I felt her mind touch mine it was...disturbing. Their was an immense pain and suffering behind those crimson dead eyes. It surprised me just as much as what ever it was that she sensed in me. Ravex was intrigued and approached me close enough that she was able to reach out and inspect me more closely. I wanted so badly to tear through her body with light but I couldn't. Somewhat because a part of me knew that she was not just a mindless killing machine and the other part knew she could hear my thoughts and would kill me if i tried anything stupid. This strange Makuta was fascinated with my golden colors and Le-Matoran attire. She slightly backed away and cocked her head to the side as if pondering a thought, and then just left. She was gone but her presence still lingered in the back of my mind. I had always been taught to hate,to fight and to kill Makuta with out remorse, but after that experience I had begun to think very differently of them. It has been engraved into us to remember that the Makuta always go for the kill. But why didn't she? Everything we thought we knew about them...was wrong...."-Takanuva |
