Blaring - Intense - Powerful
Squall was the third member of the Broken Horn Clan. She was found on the Shifting Expanse by Mousie as an egg. Thinking the little Lightning egg was abandoned, Mousie scooped it up and proceeded to fly home. Unfortunately, Squall's egg had not been deserted, just left alone for the time being. The eggs' parents spotted Mousie as she absconded with their egg, and proceeded to give chase. Mousie, already attached to the egg and the tiny baby inside, fled into a gathering storm, hoping to lose her tail. Within the roiling clouds, she was buffeted by winds, pelted by hail, and struck by lightning. But she was determined, and managed to make her way out of the tempest and back to the Viridian Labyrinth.
Mousie and Myrtus nested the egg underneath a tree to wait for it to hatch. After a week of watching, with no peeps from the egg, a thunderstorm blew in, and a bolt of lightning struck the nest, cracking open the egg. And thus Squall was born, named after the tempest that bore her.
She was a loud hatching. Both Mousie and Myrtus worried that the lightning had damaged her somehow; the way she screamed and cried so often. As she grew, her wailing turned into shouting, as if she could never stay quiet. She was a rambunctious hatchling, always on the move, and eager to get into trouble. Quite a handful for her adoptive parents.
As she grew into adulthood and learned how to fly, she became obsessed with chasing storms. She took to following flocks of Storm Seekers in order to find gathering storms. She loves flying amongst the chaos and energy present during thunderstorms.
Squall is technically a conservator, but tends to shirk her duties in order to find storms. She doesn't take orders well; preferring to do what she thinks will be the most entertaining for herself. She is still a very boisterous dragon, even today. She has a strong, booming voice, and doesn't rely on stealth or silence when attacking, preferring to charge her opponent with loud intensity. She has a crackling energy that surrounds her, and appears to always be full of vim and vigor. Other dragons of the Lightning Flight seem to be invigorated when she is around.
