A solitary expert gardener, Dianthus has a knack for making anything grow anywhere. No one's really sure how he manages to do so and why he persists when something doesn't work out immediately, but he's definitely regarded highly by other clanmates that practice the art of gardening. He prefers to spend his time in his own little garden space, feeling secure enough to let go of his pearl and nestle it among his most prized flowers and herbs. Gardening makes him feel safer than five expertly trained guardian dragons ever could and ever will.

One thing that he will not reveal to any dragon, however, is that he loves insect visitors. Even if some may prey upon his even most loved plants, he enjoys watching them lead their own tiny lives, so much lesser than him or any other dragon, yet still doing its best and not caring about anyone else. A few have caught him even speaking to a few moths, but those few have vowed secrecy after a fulfilled threat of finding barbs in their bed every day.
