Hearth is a hatchling that is actually much older than everyone else in the clan, and has an encyclopedic knowledge about most things in Sornieth. Unfortunately, due to his eternal youthfulness, he is stuck in that transitional phase where you can kinda tell what he's saying, but the rest is gibberish (think a 2 year old). He COULD be sharing important information about what big scary creature lives in the nearby forest, but you wouldn't know that.

Hearth has an interesting history: When he was hatched, he was one of many snappers just like him to be sold to others as part of a subspecies, called "Emberlings". These dragons were exclusively sold through the fire forums up until around 2014, when the project was stopped and the original creator left the site. As far as I can tell, Hearth was the only Emberling to be permababied and may be the last surviving member of his kind. From what I could find, Hearth has switched hands at least 3 times.

Extra notes: Born on the same day as my account's creation, but 3 years before. Purchased from a user who would've exalted him if there were no takers.

Original Bio:

Hearth loves to be warm as he can possibly be and will often sleep on the hot coals in the forge. This often annoys Cinder who tries to work, but has a soft spot for Hearth and will let him sleep there.

(Sorry, not sure who did this art, it came with Hearth when I bought him. It didn't seem to be in any of the bios of other emberling dragons either, so this was probably made just for him by either one of his previous owners or by a commissioned artist with lax crediting rules.)
