Never one to speak of politics, Saothraigh is known as the most neutral of Elysium's dragons first and foremost; he stays out of internal clan affairs, and avoids every whiff of inter-clan politics like a plague. Second, he is known as one of the most reserved and quiet, to the point many consider something to be wrong with him. Whilst this is far from the case, Saothraigh remains an ironic conversation piece amongst many, despite his attempts to stay out of them.
Born of Nature, Saothraigh is an Imperial who is very much in tune to the world around him. He hunts game, and whilst his hauls match none to Elysium's hunting brigade, Saothraigh has a more delicate touch, and none can match his skill at dressing a kill. He preserves and saves every last piece, from hide, to horn, for other uses, abhorring waste above all else, seeing it as an insult to the animal that died to provide such a bounty. As such, Saothraigh is known to have a very peaceful, wholesome outlook on life; one many can respect, but never truly understand.
Due to his work, Saothraigh knows the forests and woods of Elysium like no other. Not even Versailles, the knowledgeable Nature ambassador, knows the wilds as well as Saothraigh. Despite his size, the Imperial moves with grace and ease amongst the under brush and trees, and can disappear into nothingness and silence should he so wish to. As such, if he doesn't wish to be bothered, he is the most difficult dragon within Elysium to find. Even impossible. A frustration, if he is needed, but if one is patient, and sincere, he will make himself known.
Strong, and wise to the nature of the wilds and what resides there, many have tried to ally themselves with Saothraigh, the clan healers in particular. Regardless of calling, or element, Saothraigh often finds notes left within his modest lair outside Elysium's main city. Within these notes are requests for herbs, animal parts, and the like; most often rare, Saothraigh is the only one who travels deep enough into the wilds to acquire such things, and this isn't unbeknownst to the healers. Saothraigh accepts such demands, however, in place of gold; minimal and a pittance, he builds a modest hoard where he could build a fortune. Many consider him touched in the head for this reason, when in reality he is happiest when he has only as much gold as he really needs.
The only one to be privy to Saothraigh's whims and ways with an intricacy that could be claimed as understanding, is Kivrak. It is perhaps the strangest of mysteries in Elysium as to why Saothraigh, of all dragons, was drawn to Kivrak, bubbly and outgoing as he is. A friend to Kivrak first, Saothraigh was smitten with the flirtatious Kivrak from the start of their friendship, and as time passed, the two seemed to settle into the notion of becoming partners. And so, despite Kivrak's public claims as to otherwise, they did, becoming exclusive, and very much private, about their relationship with each other. The two are often said to venture out into the wilds together, away from prying eyes and judgement, much to the annoyance of the clan gossips.
