The Painter

Location: Everbloom Gardens Cave

Considered a "lucky charm" by her clan, due to her shimmering wings inherited from her mother against all odds. Inspired by her parents' vivid colors and a desire to bring more color into the world, she paints the walls of the caves which the Peacock Fern Clan inhabits. She also dyes banners and does paintings for the two outposts. She loves cultivating and harvesting extremely vivid flowers to create her pigments. She does her best to take minimal and sustainable amounts from the plants with which she works, though, and never wastes petals or lets paint dry out without use.
When the Clan expanded to the Shireking Wilds and the alchemist Lavandula left to train, Ackkelly took up her old room as her studio, being the one who could best work with its unique chemical stains.
She also often finds herself attracted to Degulpta's coloration; she absentmindedly creates paintings of him when she's not busy. She's too shy to talk to him more than a few words, however.
Her current art projects involve relating her works to the spaces they inhabit. That is, she seeks not to separate them from where they are intentionally created, and she views their existence as transient, not trying to preserve them within a single state against the elements and other factors from their surroundings. She is studying and developing pigments that, rather than lasting in vividness, change colors over time in various ways, reacting to the air, light, or mere progression of time. Other ‘paints’ that she is creating are pastes of moss that grow over time when painted on rocks and other surfaces. Her proudest accomplishment in these projects is developing a paint for external walls that biodegrades and enriched the soil directly beneath- resulting in floral growth that creates a ‘second painting’ in her eyes.
